Cloud Computing Uses

Are you able to access the Internet from your cell phone? If you are, then you are utilizing cloud computing capabilities. Your cell phone service provider is obtaining Internet services and letting you access them through the company.

How many times a day do you send and receive e-mail? Each time you do, you are cloud computing. The days of having to use a program that was loaded into your personal computer, and could not be used anywhere else but there are gone now, thanks to cloud computing.

Do you take advantage of free document or form downloads from document provider services? These can include such things as accounting forms, legal documents, or published documents that provide the exact information you need concerning a specific situation. Again, you are cloud computing. And, you do not have to worry about applying for, paying for, and maintaining current usage licenses because the company is doing that for you.

You may have simply never given any thought as to where the different computer services you use come from or how the information gets to your computer; you just know it is there, and you want it to continue being there when you need it. However, now that you know that you have been cloud computing, you may actually find yourself thinking that you are getting pretty good at using a computer. And, that is fine. We all need a little confidence boost now and then.

As technology continues to expand, cloud computing will occur in more and more computer situations. Consequently, there will be many more times in the future when you will be using cloud computing and again may not realize it. That is all right, though, because what is important is that the services will be there.
